Langholm is a quiet town standing astride the A7 Carlisle to Edinburgh Road, in the most beautiful wooded valley of the River Esk, but along with the annual so-called ‘Common Riding’ the Public parade of the Lodge Eskdale Kilwinning No. 107 is a major annual event.

The public parade of the Lodge Eskdale Kilwinning no. 107 was held on Sunday, 23 July 2023, and the Lodge was tyled at 5:00 pm.

After opening, attendees adjourned for the parade to form up in full masonic regalia behind the town band, outside the lodge rooms at No. 2 Mary Street, Langholm, DG13 0AL. Once the service was ended the parade reformed behind the band for the walk back to the hall.

The lodge resumed & after essential business was closed in due form. On the ground floor the ladies of the lodge afterwards put on a delicious high tea.
